Album photos vs QC photos
QC review is a comparison task, not a guarantee. Album photos usually present an item in selected lighting and angles, while QC photos may show a particular item or batch in more ordinary conditions. Both can answer useful questions, but neither proves authenticity, seller identity, or future quality.
How to check that photos belong to the same item
- Compare the complete product code, color, size, and variant.
- Match construction details such as seams, panel shapes, hardware, labels, or connector placement.
- Check whether the source link and QC reference point to the same item.
- Account for lighting and lens distortion before calling a color or shape different.
- Remove the comparison when a key identifier conflicts.
Category-specific details to compare
- Clothing
- Measurements, fabric texture, seam alignment, print placement, cuffs and closures.
- Footwear
- Side profile, toe shape, heel, sole, tongue, stitching and size label.
- Bags
- Dimensions, panel shape, handles, seams, hardware, lining and closures.
- Watches
- Case dimensions, dial layout, hands, crown, side profile, clasp and markings.
- Electronics
- Exact model, ports, included components, labels and compatibility details.
Sizing and measurement evidence
Compare measurement method as well as the number. A garment measured flat is different from a body measurement; shoe insole length is different from a labeled size. If the QC image lacks a ruler, a clear reference point, or an explanation of the method, record the sizing as incomplete.
Image quality and missing-angle limitations
Compression, color balance, shadows, perspective, and wide-angle distortion can change how details appear. A missing sole, interior, label, or side view may hide the exact feature you need. More photos are not automatically better when they repeat the same angle.
Why QC photos do not authenticate a product or seller
QC photos are visual evidence, not an authentication service. They can be mismatched, reused, old, or incomplete. They also say nothing by themselves about seller control, stock, delivery, refunds, or buyer protection.
Checklist before approving any next step
- The item code, variant, color, and size correspond.
- The important category-specific angles are visible.
- Measurements use a clear method.
- Image limitations are noted rather than explained away.
- The source link still matches the photographed item.
- The photos improve the decision without being treated as authentication.
